Fridge Logic in Pokemon X and Y

So Pokemon X and Y were out for a month already. If your aware of the term Fridge Logic, you may have noticed a couple of things in the game. If not, well, you may have noticed it either way. In simple terms, it is for how you remember the way things work. Like, for example, why does Mega Mawile have Huge Power? When you remember that Huge Power doubles your attack and take a glance at Mega Mawile, you'll see that Mega Mawile has two sets of jaws now.

Another example being Mega Gengar. Mega Gengar loses the ability Levitate which granted him immunity to Ground-Type moves, in favor for Shadow Tag. Once you look at the Pokemon, you'll see that Mega Gengar appears to be coming out of the ground. When the move Mean Look is used, it prevents you from escaping from battle, similar to Shadow Tag. Closer inspection shows that Mean Look is used with a yellow eye preventing the victim from escaping. What's on Mega Gengar's head? A yellow eye.

So now that you understand the basic terms, let's look at a few more things. Note that it can be Brilliance or Horrifying. There may be spoilers, so be warned.

1: Mega Gardevoir
When Gardevoir undergoes Mega Evolution, it dons what appears to be a wedding dress from a fairy-tale. With Gardevoir now gaining the new Fairy Type, the dress itself can be from a fairy-tale. But you realize that various Pokedex's state that if needed, a Gardevoir will give its life for its trainer, even so far as creating a black hole should its Trainer be threatened. So with a Gardevoir's Undying Loyalty, it's Mega Evolution could state that it wants to be your wife...or your cross-dressing husband Cue squeals from various people around the world with a Pokemon fetish. For bonus points, the Mega Evolution is activated by a ring. Also note it could state that it wants to be with you forever...wait...

2: The Fairy-Type
For the first time since the 2nd Generation, we are granted a new type in the form of a Fairy. Let me cut to the point, when it was revealed that it is super effective against Dragons as well as being immune to their attacks, many a Dragon Master weren't pleased that their God-like Dragonite can't do squat to damage what many would say a child's plaything. But once you know your fairy-tales, you will see that many Dragons were defeated by Fairy's or some form of. Dragon! Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty could be a straight example.

They are also weak against Steel Types. Many Fairyfolk would be burned by the touch of cold-iron, hence why many fairies in all forms of media would be associated with nature and barely have any iron of some sort. Dragon! Maleficent can be another example as she is a fairy to begin with. (I'll admit I don't know my fairy-tales that well) Prince Charming killed Maleficent by his sword. A form of iron.

Maleficent can be an example of two birds, one stone. As a Dragon, Prince Charming's Steel Sword would have little effect on her. So the Fairy Sisters (Whatever they are called) enchanted his Steel with Fairy. So the Fairy would deal with the Dragon, while the Steel would deal with the Fairy. Wrap your head around that one.

Poison are also very effective against Fairy, but why? Well, Fairies are associated with nature, which would be Grass, so the Poison would effect their homes too, hence why Fairy is weak against Poison as well.

3: Steel losing resistance
Ever since they were introduce, the Steel Type was one of the more common Tanks of the game, only being weak against a handful of types. (Fire, Fighting, and Ground) and resistant to almost every other type, aside from Water and Electric, as well as being immune to Poison. Come X and Y, it loses resistance to two of the types to being damaged normally. These two types are Ghost and Dark. So all of a sudden, your Metagross is getting the crap beaten out of it by the likes of Gengar and Houndoom.

As a Ghost type, they would naturally be able to bypass a hard-surface like Steel and float through it. (Like all other Ghosts do) But Dark types? Why? Well, most Dark Types deal with treachery and dirty tactics, so they would learn how to bypass the Steel type by striking where they would be weak most.

4: Pokemon Amie
Subtext or not, many previous games would say that you won because of your love with your Pokemon when all in all, you could have just abused the poor Pokemon with Rare Candies. (Although if your Pokemon had a sweet tooth...) Here, you can actually bond with your Pokemon, feeding them PokePuffs, and playing with them. But, why would some of them get angry at you if you touch a certain part? (No dirty thoughts here) I mean, Espurrs ears, Honedges Blade and Tassel. If you read their Pokedex, they simply state why. Espurr keeps its ears plugged up so it can contain its own power or else it'll leak. It's not angry at you for touching its ears, it's warning that if you remove the tufts blocking its ears, it won't be able to contain its power and may accidentally kill you. Honedge's blade may be an obvious example as it does not want you to cut yourself. But its Tassel, (or arm) is stated to be able to control people by the touch of its tassel. It may not want to control you, or maybe your already its puppet...but either way...

5: The war 3000 years ago.
Many have been disappointed that there are only 69 new Pokemon in this Generation. But if you look at this generations history, the war that was 3000 years ago was stopped when AZ turned that weapon he used to revive his beloved Floette into a weapon of mass destruction and killed thousands of people. (There's also the note that Yveltal caused a mass destruction too) so maybe many Pokemon gone extinct if the weapon killed thousands. There's also the fact that there are many Ghost type Pokemon of Kalos. So the reason why there are only 69 new Pokemon could be that during the war, there was a mass extinction in Kalos, severally dwindling their numbers. (Note that kill isn't used often in Pokemon)

I wish I could point out more things, but right now my brain is frying on how late it is.
Few things to point out is that the Kalos Region has the bloodiest history in the Pokemon franchise.
